UNICEF Gender and Education in Mali

The central objective of the UNICEF gender and Education in Mali project is to bring together all these sectors in order to significantly influence the outcomes of girls' basic education in Mali. The project has three main objectives:

·     Strengthen girls' education structures within the Ministry of National Education
·     Train teachers in gender and development approach. Training process includes need assessment, design of training modules, delivery of training and monitoring and evaluation of training impact
 ·    Reinforce NGO and association partners' capabilities in the area of community participation in education. NGOs and association partners that are the targets of actions are in the regions of: Kayes (Kayes, Yelimane and Diema), Segou (Segou, Baraoueli and Bla), and Mopti (Mopti, Djenne, Tenenkou, Bankass and Koro).
