After the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the southern and northern factions in January, 2005, the newly-formed Government of South Sudan (GoSS) has established independent Ministries, including the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST).  The EQUIP 2 / South Sudan project aims to enhance the legitimacy of the nascent MoEST by building the capacity of select departments.  During this one and one half year contract funded through the USAID Sudan Field Office education team, AED will partner with AIR to provide valuable short- and long-term technical assistance to the MoEST.
